I love this switch. I use it as a safety switch that enables/disables other switches on my console. My kids love to play with my switches... like they're launching a space ship or something. They still haven't figured this one out (10 and 8 years old). This way, no dead batteries and no tickets for "off road applications" being pushed by accident while driving.

Advantages: Keeps you from mistakenly hitting a switch.
No dead battery surprises.
Tough enough to turn on that a 10 year old can't work it.

Disadvantages: It may slow you down if you need to turn on something quick.
It may be tough enough for a 40 year old to turn it on. Not a product/quality thing, just a factor of the safety facet. It is stiff. But that works for my application.
